About JRP Virtual
JRP Virtual is the result of more than a century of evolution in how talent is discovered, developed, and given access to the entertainment industry.
Over the past century, more than two million men and women of all ages have graduated from the John Robert Powers system, including figures such as Lauren Bacall, Lucille Ball, Henry Fonda, Ava Gardner, Grace Kelly, Montgomery Clift, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Diana Ross, and Barbara Stanwyck. Their careers span film, television, fashion, and public life, reflecting the lasting impact of professional preparation and confidence.
The John Robert Powers name dates back to the early 1920s, when John Robert Powers arrived in New York City pursuing a career in acting. Along the way, he helped assemble talent for magazine advertisements, unknowingly laying the groundwork for what would become the modern modeling and talent development industry.
In 1923, he founded the first modeling agency and later opened the first personality development academy. His philosophy was simple but powerful: there is no such thing as an unattractive person, only people who have not yet learned how to make the most of themselves. Confidence, naturalness, and self-belief were at the core of his teaching, and those values still matter today.
Over the decades, John Robert Powers schools expanded across the United States through brick-and-mortar locations, offering in-person training at a time when proximity to major cities was essential. But as the industry changed, so did we.

From Traditional Training to Real Access
As film, television, and modeling evolved, one thing became increasingly clear: talent was everywhere.
There were remarkable performers in small towns, rural communities, and places the industry rarely looked. The issue was never ability. It was access.
For many families, relocating to Los Angeles or New York early on simply wasn’t realistic. Parents had jobs, other children, and established lives. Adults often pursued acting while maintaining other careers. The old model demanded too much, too soon, from people who weren’t yet being given real opportunities.
We believed there had to be another way.
Building a Bridge to the Industry
Through our work under Casting Call, Inc., we began rethinking how talent could be discovered and introduced to the industry.
Our talent directors traveled nationally and internationally to meet aspiring performers where they lived. When talent was ready, agents and managers from Los Angeles and New York were brought in for live showcases, allowing performers to be seen professionally without being forced to make major life decisions prematurely.
This approach worked.
Many performers discovered through this process eventually relocated when the timing made sense and went on to build long-term careers. Others gained experience, clarity, and confidence that shaped their futures in meaningful ways. Either way, the path felt more intentional and far more humane.

When the Industry Shifted,
So Did We
In 2020, the entertainment industry came to a sudden halt.
Travel stopped. Large auditions disappeared. The traditional ways of connecting talent with opportunity were no longer possible.
Then the industry adapted.
Auditions, callbacks, interviews, and agent meetings moved online. Self-tapes and Zoom auditions became the norm, not the exception. Hollywood quickly realized how much more practical and accessible this new model could be.
For us, this shift wasn’t a disruption. It was a natural evolution.
JRP Virtual was born by combining decades of talent discovery and development experience with the modern, virtual audition process now used across television, film, and modeling.
What JRP Virtual Is Today
Today, JRP Virtual is a modern, audition-based training and industry access program operated by Casting Call, Inc.
We provide structured training, honest feedback, and live virtual exposure to industry professionals, all aligned with how the entertainment industry actually functions today.
Talent does not need to relocate to pursue opportunities. Initial auditions are completed through self-tapes, followed by callbacks and interviews over Zoom. When work does come, travel happens with purpose. Talent flies to the filming location because they are booked and working, not simply hoping to be seen.
JRP Virtual now serves clients across the United States, Canada, and around the world, offering access that once existed only for those who could afford to take significant risks early on.

Vision, Mission and Core Values

Our Philosophy
There are no guarantees in this industry, and we are honest about that.
What we believe in is preparation, access, and transparency. Our role is to guide talent, help them develop professionally, and open doors when the timing is right.
Some clients go on to book television, film, or modeling work. Others gain confidence, clarity, and skills that carry into other areas of life. Watching that growth, in any form, is the most rewarding part of what we do.
Our Mission
To prepare and support aspiring talent through professional training and real industry exposure, creating a clear and modern path into the entertainment industry.
Our Vision
A more accessible entertainment industry, where geography and circumstance are no longer the biggest barriers to opportunity.
Our Core Values
Real opportunity, handled responsibly
The opportunities we provide are real. We don’t exaggerate outcomes or sell false promises, but we also don’t downplay what’s possible. Our responsibility is to guide talent through real industry access with clarity, honesty, and respect for the process.
Preparation matters
Being seen by the industry is a privilege. Our clients are trained before they are placed in front of agents, managers, or casting professionals. That preparation protects both the talent and the professional relationships we’ve built.
Respect for the craft
Acting and modeling are professions. We train our clients not only in performance, but in how to conduct themselves in professional auditions, interviews, and working environments. Industry professionals return to us because they know our clients are prepared, respectful, and ready to work.
Respect for the community
We believe actors build each other up. Our community is one of support, encouragement, and collaboration, where talent feels safe to be themselves, take risks, and grow.
Growth that lasts
Success looks different for everyone. Whether a client books a role, signs with representation, or simply becomes a more confident and capable performer, that growth matters. The skills and self-belief developed here extend far beyond any single audition.

Frequently asked Questions
JRP Virtual, a Casting Call, Inc. brand, gives performers a place to practice with working industry professionals and then present what they’ve built in front of agents, managers, and casting directors. For a century, we’ve helped talent learn how to stand out and stay competitive - because in this business, the most prepared performers usually get the opportunities.
We focus heavily on training that gets you ready for representation, and we approach rehearsal the way professionals do it: show up prepared, get coached, improve, repeat.
You’ll commit to a set amount of rehearsal time on weekends so you can develop your skills and learn your material. Auditions and showcases with agents, casting directors, and other professionals are also typically scheduled on a weekend after the rehearsal period.
Extra rehearsal outside of that schedule isn’t required, but if you want to put in more time on your own, we encourage it.
No. We look for people who are serious, reliable, and genuinely interested. When our performers meet top industry professionals, how they behave reflects directly on our coaching.
We’ve built strong relationships with agencies and casting offices because we’re known for bringing in candidates who are talented, motivated, and professional.
We’re not an agency. Like any career path, training and marketing usually require an upfront investment of time and money. Successful actors and models will tell you the same thing: the learning never really stops. These days, very few agencies cover startup costs for new talent. Yes, there are occasional "discoveries", but they’re rare. Most working professionals earn their progress through training, experience, and ongoing development.
At JRP Virtual, we provide the coaching, direction, and confidence to help you move toward your goals in entertainment.
