More About Ashley Argota

Many fans first recognized Ashley Argota as Lulu on Nickelodeon’s "True Jackson, VP," or from her time playing Kelly in "Bucket and Skinner’s Epic Adventures." However, her professional journey started much earlier; at just 11 years old, she took the Broadway stage as Young Nala in Disney’s "The Lion King." Over the years, she’s built an impressive resume with appearances on popular shows like "iCarly," "The Troop," and "The Shield," along with spots on "MAD TV" and "The Wayne Brady Show." Beyond the screen, Ashley has a deep-rooted history in music. She made history at The Apollo as the youngest performer to secure five consecutive wins during Amateur Night, eventually earning the title "Star of Tomorrow." Her vocal talent also took her to "Star Search" in 2003, where judge Ben Stein famously praised her for having the strongest stage presence he had ever seen in a young artist.

Ashley recently transitioned back to the stage as Princess Jasmine in the Lythgoe Family’s production of "Aladdin and His Winter Wish." Shortly after, she took a darker turn as the bionic villain S-1 on Disney XD’s "Lab Rats." Her success with Disney continued with the 2014 movie "How to Build a Better Boy," which pulled in 4.6 million viewers during its premiere and dominated the Watch Disney Channel App. Between filming spots for "Chasing Life" and the Tina Fey-produced pilot "Cabot College," she joined the cast of "The Fosters" as Lou, the frontwoman of the fictional band Someone’s Little Sister. The music resonated so much with the audience that ABC Family released a surprise EP of her songs, which quickly climbed to the top 20 on the iTunes Alternative chart. Most recently, Ashley starred as Juliet in the rock-musical "Romeo & Juliet: Love Is A Battlefield," a performance that earned her multiple Los Angeles Scenie Awards. Even with a busy filming schedule for "Lab Rats" and several upcoming films, she continues to release her own music, including her current single, "Limitless."
