Casting all roles for Lightkeeper, a new play by Julia Labusch
Casting all roles for Lightkeeper, a new play with music by Julia Labusch at The Rat NYC (68-117 Jay St, Brooklyn, NY) Deán Dreck has lived in isolation in a lighthouse for years, maintaining a tenuous peace – until one day, a letter shows up that forces him to at once settle the past and invite the future. Lightkeeper is a story about the pain of being alone, but even more, it's a story about the strength and difficulty of choosing community, even when it’s the harder choice. This is a play about loneliness. It’s also a play about connection, love, found family, care, imaginary friends, promises, control, and having no idea what the hell you’re going to do with your life. But more than anything, this is a play about stars.

New Musical Workshop
UNBELIEVABLE: A New Musical On April 1, 1931 teenager Jackie Mitchell struck out two of the greatest baseball players of all time: Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig- and that was the easy part. In this coming of age story, young Jackie finds herself at war on and off the field with the most powerful figures of major league baseball who want to protect the status quo and discovers that some games are bigger than her. Through a unique blend of bluegrass, folk, and jazz, the score captures the mood of Depression era Tennessee and one young womans' love of the game. Unbelievable Website
